Do YOU know how to use your voice effectively?
Great speakers know how to use their voice.
Do YOU know how to use your voice effectively?
1. Speak clearly and enunciate.
When people listen to you, they have to process the information you give them. The last thing you want is for your listeners to wonder, "What was said? I did not understand the last word!"
2. Speak loud enough to be heard clearly.
Be attentive to your listeners. Look at their body language. Are they leaning towards you? Are they looking at your mouth and attempting to read your lips? If could be a sign that you are not speaking loud enough.
3. Use a lower pitch
A lower pitch projects confidence and authority.
4. Speak at a steady pace.
It will make you appear calm and in control.
5. Use variations in your tone
You want your listeners to be engaged. So use inflections and pauses to your advantage.
6. Use good posture
Singers always sing when standing. It opens the diaphragm and helps to project their voice.
7. Be confident
Your confidence will be reflected in your voice.
