Are you making this mistake when thanking someone?

I hear it all the time. It’s bland and vanilla. It’s polite but so blah!

So what is this phrase that is just so so ?

“Thank you for everything!”

Sure it’s polite, sure you are covered, sure it’s good enough, but it’s a blanket statement that carries little impact. .

I equate it to the word “nice”. It’s the one thing to say when you don’t have much to say.

You want to be charismatic… Be memorable!

Notice things and pay attention to the person you are speaking to. When you are observant and make a positive comment to something the person values, you are sure to be remembered (for the right reasons)!

How can you use this in your life?

Here is one example: If you had a great conversation with a new acquaintance at a cocktail party…

Do not say: “Nice talking to you.” at the end.

Say: “I really enjoyed chatting with you about your trip to “x”. You have given my some great tips to plan my next adventure.”

Or Say: “I enjoyed our conversation. I never thought about using this online service for “x”. Thanks for the information!

There are many positive comments you can make but the most important thing is to make the ending personal.

Whether it’s the host at the gathering you attend or the barista at your favourite coffee shop, you want to comment on one thing that is unique or personal to this person.

Needless to say, you have to be sincere. Patronizing never works.

Use this one tip and you will surely notice an increase in your charisma.

Let me know if you tried this tip before and how it worked for you.
