Are you aware of YOUR personal texture?

Ever notice how certain fabrics just seem to complement your look perfectly?

It’s all about matching your clothing to your personal texture!

Think of it as achieving harmony in your style.

When your clothing's texture aligns with your personal features, it creates a balanced and cohesive appearance.

Here is my rule of thumb:

For those with straight, shiny hair, fabrics like satin and silk enhance the sleekness of your hair, contributing to a harmonious look. These materials reflect light smoothly, mirroring the shine and smooth texture of your hair, creating a unified visual effect.

In contrast, if you have curly hair, knitwear offers a different kind of harmony. The textured, cozy feel of knits works well with the natural bounce of your curls, providing a complementary balance. The texture of the fabric harmonizes with the curls, enhancing their shape and adding a cohesive element to your overall appearance.

But here's where you can break the rule:

Don’t be afraid to experiment.

Mixing textures can also lead to striking, unexpected results. Sometimes, breaking away from conventional matches can lead to a unique and confident style that’s all your own.

The key is achieving that perfect blend where your personal texture and fabric work together seamlessly, or daring to mix things up for a fresh look. :)

Knits work well with curly hair, adding balance. A shiny blouse, however, doesn’t blend as well.

Satin and silk highlight shiny hair by reflecting light, creating a smooth look. A thick knit sweater doesn’t achieve this effect.
